Dog Lodging FAQ’s

Most dogs have little to no trouble adjusting, and our excellent staff will do everything possible to ensure that your dog has the best time at the Lodge. We provide a variety of activities and services, making for a customized experience that is tailored to your dog’s needs; your dog is unique and should have a visit to match! You can help us by filling out a “Pet Profile” form and scheduling an assessment before your boarding.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us. We are happy to give tours of the resort.
Of course they can! We love to keep families together, and when you board an additional dog in one room you’ll receive a discount of:

  • 37 % for each additional dog sharing a large suite
  • 24 % for each additional dog sharing a cabin
  • 5 % for each additional dog sharing a small suite

We also offer our spacious Family Suite for families with multiple dogs.

Puppies are more than welcome at the Lodge! In order for your baby to stay with us, we require them to have completed a full series of vaccinations no less than 72 hours before check-in. We will shower your puppy with extra love and care, in addition to reinforcing good habits and social behaviors.

Puppy Care Includes:

  • Meals 3 times a day, as recommended by veterinarians for growing puppies
  • Multiple outside potty breaks daily to reinforce good housebreaking habits
  • Pampered Pet sessions to enhance socialization skills
We require your dog’s current vaccination records before check-in. You can ask your veterinarian to email or fax (844-269-6719) your dog’s records to us. The requisite forms can either be sent to us ahead of time or when you arrive for check-in. We request that any special needs your dog may have be discussed ahead of your arrival. You will select either a sports package or pamper package (or a combination) upon check-in and spa services can be scheduled when you make your reservation. Feel free to call us if you are unsure of anything and we’ll be happy to answer your questions!
Our guests may arrive or depart at any time during our business hours. For check-in, your dog must arrive no later than one hour before closing. Effective March 1st, if you check-in before 2pm Mon-Sat you will be charged an early check-in fee of $18.00.  If your dog is checked out after 12 P.M., an Extended Stay fee of $17.50 (effective Mar 1st $18) will be added to your bill. On Sundays, check-out starts at 2pm and the extended stay fee will be added after 3pm (effective Mar 1st, 4pm).
You can make your reservation by calling or emailing us, and we require that all new clients’ reservations be confirmed either by phone or in person. If you would like to make a reservation for any holiday or busy travel season, we encourage you to do so far in advance, if possible.
During the summer season and for weekends, we ask that you communicate your cancellation to us at least 3 days prior to the start of your reservation. Doing so will enable us to give your slot to another dog-owner who needs it.

For all major holidays, we require a non-refundable boarding deposit of two night’s stay per pet. These holidays include Easter, the 4th of July,  Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

If you cancel your boarding reservation prior to 14 days of the original check-in date (when boarding over a holiday), your boarding deposit will be held on your GBL account for one year and can be used for a future service. If you cancel within the 14 days of the original check-in date, your deposit will be forfeited.

If you shorten your holiday stay by MORE THAN TWO NIGHTS, within ten weeks of the original check-in date, you forfeit your deposit.

We would love to give you a tour of our beautiful resort! If you are interested, you can visit the Green Beagle Lodge between 11 A.M. and 2:30 P.M. on weekdays (excluding holidays), or by appointment on Saturdays. We do a pet-free tour.
We always recommend that you bring your dog’s usual food when they board with us. It is easier on your dog’s digestive system to keep their food consistent and doing so ensures that your dog’s stay is not negatively impacted by an upset stomach or diarrhea. We do have a high quality kibble from Pet Pantry at the Lodge that we can give your dog, in either chicken and rice or lamb and rice flavors. The chicken and rice option is the most universally digestible if you’re not sure which to choose.
Your dog’s accommodations include a veterinarian-recommended Kuranda bed, which is designed to keep dogs cool and comfortable while they sleep. While we do not normally accommodate crates, you are welcome to include your dog’s favorite small blanket in their luggage. If you have a puppy that you are trying to crate-train, then we have a few on-site that can be used to reinforce the work you are doing at home.
We know that familiar toys or blankets can be a source of comfort for your dog while they stay in an unfamiliar place. We ask that you limit the number of items to two favorite things (toys, small blankets, etc.), and that you clearly mark them with your dog’s first name and last name. These two items must be able to withstand daily washing or sanitizing with our cleaning products. We advise you not to pack anything especially precious, as these articles may be lost or damaged during your dog’s stay in spite of our preventative efforts. If you dog’s item come in unlabeled, we will mark these items with their name in either permanent marker or masking tape.
If your dog is in need of veterinary attention while in our care, we will first call you or your designated emergency contact to determine the best course of action. If your dog’s condition requires an emergency visit to a veterinarian, we will take them to one of our choosing. Any medical costs we pay on your dog’s behalf will be added to your bill at check-out.
