The training philosophy at the Green Beagle Lodge focuses on helping to create a socialized, obedient and well-mannered canine companion and family member. Our trainers use scientifically proven methods tailored specifically to your pet. The health and safety of each of our guests is of the utmost importance to us. The Green Beagle Lodge must have a formal vaccination record from a licensed veterinarian indicating that the vaccinations meet the requirements listed below.
Emails (firstname.lastname@example.org) and faxes (1-844-269- 6719) are acceptable. We may not be able to train a pet if the required records are not received prior to the start of the training class.
Required vaccines: Rabies: Annual or three-year DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo and Parainfluenza): Annual or three year vaccine. Bordetella: Annual vaccine
All pets must be in good general health to stay at the Green Beagle Lodge. Any pet known to have been exposed to a contagious virus must wait 30 days or until clearance by his or her veterinarian is given before visiting the Lodge.
Flea & Tick Prevention
We follow a rigorous program of flea and tick prevention. All pets must be on a monthly flea and tick prevention program. All pets will be checked thoroughly for fleas and ticks prior to admittance. If any are found, the pet will be treated immediately, at the owner’s expense, before being allowed to enter the training area.
If internal parasites are discovered, the pet will be quarantined and the Owner will be called to discuss treatment plans.
Pets may not be accepted for training if they show signs of, or have a history of, severe aggression. We reserve the right to decline service to any pet or individual.
We welcome puppies 10 weeks and up to attend classes or private training sessions. All dogs must have DHPP and Bordetella. Puppies over 4 months are required to have their rabies vaccination. Puppies who have completed the full series of vaccinations may attend board and train.
Board and Train
The primary focus of our board and train program is off-leash basic obedience, such as walking off leash or on a loose lead, sit on command, coming when called and to place. We are open to discussing other training goals you may have for your pet. Dogs will reach different levels of training based on the length of stay, age and temperament. For board and train periods of two weeks or more, we require a deposit of 50% of the estimated training fee at check-in and a credit card must be place on file with Green Beagle Lodge.
Our trainers work one-to-one with you and your dog at our facility or at your home. This type of training is especially helpful for dogs with issues such as aggression, separation anxiety, fearfulness and possessiveness. Each session is one hour and the cost is $100. You can save money by buying a training bundle of six sessions for $500. Payment for private training sessions is required at the time of the session. Payment for the $500 training bundle is required prior to the start of the first training session.
All rates and services are subject to availability and change.
Make up classes are normally available and will be discussed on case by case basis.
Some pets react differently to new environments and separation from their families. In non-emergency situations (e.g., diarrhea, loss of appetite) we will contact you to discuss the best course of action for your pet. Emergency Care If your pet requires medical attention while in our care, our customary procedure is to contact you or your emergency contact to discuss the best course of action. Should the nature of your pet’s illness require an office visit, we reserve the right to utilize an emergency vet. We reserve the right to charge a transport fee. Any costs arising from medical care that we pay on your pet’s behalf will be billed to you at or prior to checkout.
The Lodge is open to the public Monday-Friday 7am-7pm, Saturday 8am- 5pm and Sunday 2pm-7pm. Access to the Activity/Training room will be available after hours through your trainer.
