Margy and David, both originally from Pennsylvania, moved to Chapel Hill in 2001 via Los Angeles and then London. In London, Margy belonged to a dog walking society with their beloved British Beagle, Bing. After moving back to the US with their two toddlers, Sophie and Will, in tow, they set down deep roots in NC.
Their love of their own dogs and the idea of creating a dog community gave birth years later to the Green Beagle Lodge. Margy and David enjoy walking their dog, Bing II, sports, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Tammy and Drew have shared a love for animals, especially dogs, since they met in California many years ago. Tammy grew up on property next to the Lodge in Chapel Hill. She and Drew moved back to NC in 2003 to raise their two sons adjacent to her childhood home. Drew was a police canine handler in Southern California which helped expand their knowledge of dogs.
They have two pups of their own, Shiloh, a Beagle born in 2008, and Samantha, a German Shepherd born in 2020. They enjoy hiking, traveling, and meeting all the new furry friends that come to the Lodge.
Operations Director
Emily is an upstate New York native that quickly took the opportunity to move to the much more temperate climate of North Carolina. Over the past seven years Emily has collected an array of pet care knowledge that was sparked by her love for her childhood rescue, a Malamute mix named Casey.
From veterinary care, shelter medicine, adoption, foster placement, pet nutrition, basic obedience training, and luxury boarding and daycare services, Emily has developed a rounded approach to professional pet care. Emily now live with her two cats and three dogs that were collected through rescues over the years.
General Manager – Chapel Hill
Brian, a lifelong Pittsburg Steeler fan, comes to us with a wealth of leadership experience in catering, fine dining, and big box retail. Most recently, Brian led a service-based telecommunications repair company. Brian has quite a sweet-tooth and this is the easy way to his heart and as a bribery.
Brian’s family once ran PBK’s Kennel, breeding and raising Great Danes. Aside from his passion for animals and the Lodge, Brian and his family are huge in the local disc golf community. Brian currently runs the annual North Carolina Junior Disc Golf Championships as well as other tournaments in the area and his son Judah has been rated as high as second in the world in his age bracket.
Operations Manager
David is a North Carolina native and after leaving school in 2018 he joined the Green Beagle team. David started in the facilities team but over his time here he has worked in virtually every department.
HR Manager
Ceira was born and raised in nearby Burlington, and after living in Myrtle Beach for ten years, she moved back to her native North Carolina in 2019 to be closer to her family. She joined our Client Care Team at Chapel Hill in May of 2021, and within a few years, her strong interpersonal skills, talent for organizing, and valuable leadership experience led her to her current role as our Human Resources Manager. As the HR Manager for our Chapel Hill and Pittsboro locations, she has loved working with all of our Teams and helping to guide each member of our Staff in their Lodge career. She has truly enjoyed the years that she has spent assisting our clients, supporting our Staff, and nurturing rewarding relationships with the pets and people at Green Beagle Lodge. Her passion for Disney, Marvel, and Harry Potter is rivaled only by her love of cats (though she is also fond of dogs!), and she is the very proud mother of two adorable feline fur babies, Archie and Asher, whom she rescued four years ago!
Our Client Care team is responsible for the care of our clients, human and animal. Ensuring your reservations are made, your records are up-to-date, and your check in and out process goes smoothly, they are here to answer your questions and note every detail of your pet’s care. Our Client Services Team includes our Lodge Liaisons; our Liaisons create our social media posts, report cards for your pup’s first day at daycare, and provide updates to our boarding pets’ families.
As an off-leash play facility, the Lodge is committed to safety and fun on a daily basis! Our Daycare Staff monitor body language, play styles, and energy levels to keep the pups playing in a positive social environment.
While you’re away for a night, a weekend, or a month, our Boarding Team is ready to help make sure your pet’s Lodging experience is a great one! Our Boarding Team manages everything about your pet’s stay from their room set-up to any specialty diets and medications.
Training is one of the best ways to strengthen the bond between humans and dogs, and our skilled trainers can work with you on obedience and understanding of the dog’s individual needs.
