I’m Whitney Tutor, CPDT-KA and I am excited to be a part of the Green Beagle Lodge team at Pittsboro!
I’ve been a professional dog trainer since 2019. I’ve been a group class assistant and instructor, worked in board and train, and done private lessons in client’s homes to help with manners, behavior issues and basic obedience. I not only have my dog training certification from CCPDT, but I also have a Masters of Arts in Teaching which gives me a great background to help communicate and teach clients the skills to train their own dogs.
I have three Siberian Huskies and I specialize in the breed. I’m active in both the state and national breed clubs. I’ve been competing with my dogs in AKC sports for about five years. Luna, Saga and Nanook all have various titles in Agility, Rally, Barn Hunt, Fast CAT and CAT as well as Canine Good Citizen and Tricks titles. I look forward to bringing the same dedication and sense of teamwork to developing training programs to meet you and your pets needs.
My love for training came shortly after rescuing my sweet boy, Benny. I’ve worked in a Dayschool and Board & Train program for 2 years where I assist families in meeting their obedience goals. I have a huge passion for helping owners and families understand their dogs needs! Training should be enjoyable for both the dog and handler. Im a strong believer in positive, force free training. In the next few years, I hope to shift towards more behavior modification work.
I was born and raised in South Florida and moved to North Carolina in 2018. I’ve always been surrounded by dogs and wouldn’t want it any other way. My boy Benny is an American Pitbull Terrier who’s full of life and love! While I love and respect all breeds, those Bully’s have a special spot in my heart. I’m incredibly excited to be apart of the Green Beagle Team & I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby.
